READ ABOUT OUR FIRST JOB…
The latest addition to the RemoteTaxi fleet, a brand new black TX4 London Cab, has finally arrived!

No time was lost in kitting it out with our usual hi-end equipment specifications as German TV company ZDF had us booked to record a live show with virtuoso violinist David Garrett at the wonderful Wuhlheide open-air venue in Berlin.

RemoteTaxi's Peter Brandt continues, "Getting the vehicle fitted in time put us under a little pressure but all went well and in no time we were on the road.

At the recording we knew that we had a real technical challenge on our hands as the plan was to record multiple MADI streams supplying different clock rates!

The DigiCo live sound consoles sent us 112 audio channels in the form of two 56 channel MADI streams and the ZDF TV truck sent a 64 channel MADI stream - both supplying different word clock rates! Using Euphonix format convertors and MADI router we stitched it all together and successfully recorded 136 channels of audio."

The live show was recorded for transmission on July 9 in Germany and for US broadcaster PBS as well as a later DVD release for Garrett.

ZDF chose RemoteTaxi for its expertise in producing a very high quality product using a compact recording environment.
